Horky standard both classical and new music education in some of the topper music schools in Vienna, Austria. Though he plays keyboards and percussion, his main instrument is the flute glass. This includes freshwater bass, countertenor, soprano, bamboo, and glass flutes, as comfortably as others of exotic descent. His style is characterized by traces of minimalist, ambient, cultural, and ritual medicine. Horky is as well closely allied with the new-age cause in his desire to create deep ghostlike, uplifting music.

Blending rap, funk, hard-core punk, heavy metal, and socially aware lyrics, Downset was ab initio formed in Los Angeles in the late '80s as region of the city's placid prospering hardcore scene, just apace expanded their sound (and changed their name from the more didactical Social Justice). Composed of vocalist Rey Oropeza, guitarists Ares Schwager and Rogelio "Roy" Lozano (the latter of whom has also worked as Cypress Hill's touring guitar player), bassist James Morris, and drummer Chris Lee, Downset perfected their bleak, urban marque of rap/hard stone unification years ahead the genre exploded commercially, debuting in 1994 with a self-titled record album for Polygram. The followup, Do We Speak a Dead Language?, appeared in 1996, but the band was presently foiled in its efforts to discharge a tierce album due to contractual entanglements resulting from its label's merger with Universal. Downset eventually caught on with Epitaph and issued Check Your People in late 2000. Universal followed four long time later.

Labeouf Caught Lighting Up In Smithsonian Museum?

Actor Shia LaBeouf has reportedly received a stern warning from officials at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum in Washington, D.C. after he was allegedly caught smoking in a forbidden area. The 21-year-old had reportedly taken a break from filming Transformers 2 at the museum when he decided to light-up in the restrooms - setting the smoke alarms off in the process, according to the National Enquirer. Sources claim LaBeouf was given a lecture about his irresponsible conduct and was warned he would be kick off the property if he repeated the incident. It's not the first time LaBeouf has been in trouble for his nicotine habit. In February , he was charged with smoking in a prohibited area in California - to which he pleaded guilty and was forced to pay a $500 fine for the offence.

Worlds Sexiest Vegetarians Named

Leona Lewis and Red Hot Chili Pepper’s frontman Anthony Kiedis have been crowned the World’s Sexiest Vegetarian Celebrities of 2008, by animal rights group PETA.
People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals compiled the votes from thousands of people online with the two music stars coming out on top.
“Soon after I [went vegan],” Kiedis tells PETA. “I saw some documentary footage of what happens in the factory farming of cows… It sealed the deal.”
Lewis, who’s hit single ‘Bleeding Love’ has topped charts worldwide, is a strict vegetarian saying she doesn’t “have clothes, shoes or bags made from leather or suede or any animal products… I’m on a mission.”
Rising Hollywood star, Australian Abbie Cornish was crowned as Down Under’s sexiest vegetarian for 2008.
Cornish, who stars in the upcoming movie Stop Loss with her boyfriend Ryan Phillippe, has been a vegetarian since she was 13.
She says she garnered an understanding and compassion for animals when she was growing up on a farm, in the NSW Hunter Valley.
“I was really puzzled by the idea that people could feel compassion for a dolphin but, at the same time, they were quite prepared to eat a cow or a pig,” she says.
“It was confusing because I thought of all animals as equal”.

The Love Guru

The Love Guru features far too many gross-out gags, and too few earned laughs, ranking as one of Mike Myers' poorest outings.

Red Hot Chili Pepper adds Math the Band to his festival

It’s highly unlikely that the pals Kevin Steinhauser used to pass homemade CDs to in Westford ever expected him to be invited by Red Hot Chili Peppers singer Anthony Kiedis to play a festival that includes Bob Dylan, Gnarls Barkley and the Raconteurs.
But Steinhauser and his buddies in Math the Band will be heading to Pittsburgh to play the first New American Music Festival just as soon as they finish their own tour with Harry and the Potters and Uncle Monsterface.
“When I started doing music for fun, I would just burn CDs and give them to my friends,” said Steinhauser, a 21-year-old UMass-Dartmouth elementary education major. More recently, a CD of Math the Band found its way to Kiedis, the curator for the New American Music Festival, who decided Math the Band was a worthy college addition to his lineup.

Not that Steinhauser or his band mates - Justine Mainville and Zach Burba - have ever spoken to Kiedis.
“To be honest, the person I got a phone call from never expressed who they were, but it probably wasn’t (Kiedis) because they mentioned him by name,” Steinhauser said of the invitiation to play in Pittsburgh on Aug. 8 and 9. “Unless he talks about himself in the third person, it probably wasn’t him.”
Steinhauser believes Math the Band’s route to Kiedis’ attention started with a show in New York City last Thanksgiving. After the gig, the band’s music was passed on from an industry insider to a music production company in Los Angeles and eventually to Kiedis and the New American Music Union, which seeks to present established acts alongside college bands that will be judged by musicians, journalists and other music business professionals.

OK! Interview: Syesha Mercado

Syesha Mercado made a spash on American Idol, finishing in third place, and now she's continuing to make waves in the pages of OK!. Modeling some of the season's hottest beach styles, the 21-year-old Florida native opens up to OK! about her bikini fashion, her Idol days, and why California is "awkward."

Are you a fan of bikinis?
I did one photo shoot where I was doing a few bikini shots and it was fun. And it was actually somebody I knew, so I was a little bit more comfortable. But this, to me, is just a lot of fun.

Are there any particular styles of swimsuit you dislike?
I love all kinds of bathing suits, like the one-piece, the two-piece, the itsy-bitsy ones. Well, if it's too itsy-bitsy, then no. It just depends on what you are doing it for. If it's like a personal photo, or whatever for yourself then whatever.

How to you stay in bikini shape?
I'm the type of who likes fitness, and I've always danced my entire life. So just being fit is kind of easy to do. But I really love chocolate and junk food. So I have to stay away from all those types of things because it puts on the pounds really easily.

Have you cut chocolate and junk food out completely, or do you limit them?
I've tried not to just eat them. But then what you do to yourself is you make your body crave it more. So then when you do eat it, you tend to eat too much of it. So I try to let my body have what it wants, but in proportion.

How has American Idol affected your workout and diet?
Lately, I haven't even been working out. And I haven't even been eating that good, because with Idol, we're eating whatever they give us. I love eating organic food, and I've not been eating organic food lately. But now that the show's over, I'm getting back to those healthy habits, like eating organic food and just eating enough and not overdoing it.

How would you describe you style?
My style really changes. It just depends on how I feel. Whatever look I want for the day. Like sometimes I'm incognito, so I'm wearing a hat and I'm in my chill mode with some jeans and some flip-flops. And then other times I want to look more glamorous, so I'll put on some heels and wear a dress that shows my legs. It just depends on how I feel.

The Idol tour starts soon. Have you enjoyed reuniting with the other Idol contestants?
Well, it hasn't been that much fun yet, because we're not all together. We kind of have block schedules, where we go in and rehearse and then come out. It's like three at a time, so we're not with everybody. But when we did have our meeting, it was really cool. Michael Johns was cracking his jokes with David Cook. They're like a little team cracking their jokes, so it was hilarious.

Who out of the finalists did you bond with?
Ramiele
[Malubay]. I was really cool with her. But I wasn't really close to anybody during Top 24, because I had just got off of vocal rest. So a lot of people didn't even know what type of person I was because I was so quiet all the time. So I guess the closest person to me at that point was Ramiele, because we had roomed together during Hollywood week, and we were roommates even then.

How do you feel about the way the judges critiqued your performances?
Well, you know, their comments can get really confusing if you let them get to you. So I always try to just take it in and use the good parts of it all, like the constructive criticism.

You just moved to California. How are you finding it here?
It's awkward. It's a bit difficult to find a place with a lot of space in California! I'm used to having a one-bedroom apartment for $600 with a lot of square feet. And there's this one apartment that I checked out which was 676 for $1,5000. I was like, "What?!" I'm not used to that - $600 to $1,5000? What is this?! But you have to adapt with your environment, so I'm adapting. I'm not complaining, you've got tot do what you've got to do. I'm sure I'll find a lovely home that's at least 1,000 square feet.

You're also engaged. How's that going?
It's good. We had a date planned. But now that all this crazy stuff is happening! I love that it's happening, but it kind of altered everything. So we will reconvene on that. But we're good. How much more do I have to say? I'm happy! All is good. Everything is gravy!
